📖 How many pools and games for a pétanque competition?

1. The settings
- Number of teams : the total registered.
- Pool size : 4 (the most common) or 3. If the count doesn't come out even, the tool fills in with pools of the other size.

- Courts, game duration and start time are used to estimate the duration and end time.
2. How it's calculated
A pool of 4 is played in 5 games (2 qualifiers) or 3 games (1 qualifier); a pool of 3 in 3 games (2 qualifiers) or 2 games (1 qualifier). The qualifiers then play a single-elimination final phase ; if their number isn't a power of 2, some teams are byes in the first round.
